Yes, a one-time 30-minute trial per Discord account, with no credit card. It is one trial per account across every server you use NotesBot in, not one per server. Each server can host up to 3 trial users or 1.5 hours of trial time in total, and a server where someone has shared their plan skips trials. Buying a plan uses up the trial, so try it first if you want both.

Monthly plans bill every month through Stripe, and the annual plan bills once a year. Changing plans starts a new billing cycle the same day and replaces your current hours with the new plan's allocation. Cancelling keeps access to the end of the period you already paid for. Hours reset to your plan's full allocation each cycle, and unused hours do not roll over.

Time is counted while you record, not in one lump at the end, so your balance can never go negative. If it runs out during a call, the recording stops there and you still get notes for what was recorded.

If transcription fails, or the recording captured no speech, the metered time is refunded automatically. If the recording transcribed but could not be summarized, the time stands and you can retry the summary from the dashboard for free.

Retrying a failed transcription from the dashboard costs that call's length again, and only if it succeeds. Retrying just the summary is free.

No, and there is no team or server plan to buy. Every plan belongs to one person, who can share it with a server. Run /setup in Discord and open Team & billing to pick whose plan pays and, if you want, which role may record. The account holder accepts by DM before anything is billed, unless they set it up themselves, and the person you pick must already have time left on their plan. After that, anyone with the role you authorize can record with /join on the account holder's hours. With no role, only the account holder can.

If you run out, you can choose the same plan again to reset your hours immediately, or switch to a larger plan. Either option starts a new billing cycle today and replaces your existing subscription. You can also wait for your normal billing reset.
